Your baby continues to grow and develop inside of you. Measuring just under 15 inches long, she weighs approximately 2 1/4 lbs. She will continue to gain body fat in the coming weeks to prepare her for life outside of your womb.
At 28 weeks, your baby can recognize your voice! His eyes continue to develop this week, and his brain is developing millions of neurons. The hair on his head continues to grow. Muscle tone in his body steadily develops, and even though his lungs are now capable of breathing air, it would be difficult for him if he were born now.

ReplyI’m 28 weeks and 4 days today. I find that I am becoming a major worry wart. First, and I’ll try to be brief, I found out I was pregnant Dec 26th and on Jan 15th, I found out that I had breast cancer. I have since had a double mastectomy, and have completed all rounds of chemo that was required. everything went smoothly and with no complications. We monitored the baby weekly with not complications along the way. Last week I had my glucose test done which came back fine but during the visit, my OB told me she was concerned about the size of my baby. Everything was going great with my pregnancy until now. I have to go back to my doctor this week for another growth scan. Ever since my doctor expressed her concern, I have done nothing but worry, worry, worry, which I know is not healthy for me or the baby.. any advice pls…
ReplyBelinda, Oh my goodness, you’ve been through so much! Please know that we send our best–you’re in our thoughts.

ReplyWooohooo! Third Trimester, got to drink that nasty glucose drink, and got my RH- shot. Results were negative for diabetes but I’m anemic. No surprise there though, I always have been. My Braxton hicks contractions have been very strong already (lucky me I feel most of them, lol) and my baby is bigger than my first one was at this stage….can’t wit to meet the lil guy! <3

ReplyToday I’m 28 weeks and this is my 3rd pregnancy but I miscarried at 25 weeks my 2nd pregnancy and was devasted. Im anxious but excited as i draw closer to the delivery date. My 8year old daughte is also excited for us and just wants to see her baby brother. This pregnancy has made me realise that i must cherish every moment i have with this angel and now i just cant wait to hold him and cuddle with him and love him.
I did my shopping already and this really hit home that i will be a mother of 2 and this makes me appreciate being a woman especially when my partner massages my back to ease the back pain.

ReplyIs it normal for my baby girl to squirm and kick whenever someone touches my belly??
ReplyYes, sometimes it’s like a game! Gently push with one finger on your belly and release, then wait for her to move, then it’s your turn again. Repeat until your baby doesn’t play anymore, I did this with both of my boys, played for over an hour once! 🙂
Reply28 weeks and 1 day I’m so happy and exited soon my husband daughter and I will have baby Jayden at home with us ☺️
ReplyIs it normal for your doctor to only require 2 ultrasounds for your whole pregnancy? I want a 3rd one, but she said that she has to have a medical reason for another one. The only reason I got the second one was because the first time, my baby was curled in a little ball and wouldn’t move for anything! 🙂
ReplyHi there, This varies provider to provider. It sounds like your doctor believes your pregnancy is a healthy one if they’re not requiring too many! You can learn more about prenatal appointments here: http://www.everydayfamily.com/guide-to-prenatal-appts/.
ReplyI was the same way, lol i was so anxious for one i made an excuse to go to the emergency room and they did an anatomy ultrasound again. Im sorry but i wanted to see my baby girl lol
ReplyI am almost 29 weeks and yesterday night I had an accident. As I was walking from the bathroom (at work) to the front register, I started leaking. I figured I was peeing myself. I did notice how I could not hold it in even after I tried so hard to so that I could make it back to the bathroom. I told my mom about it and she went on to tell her mom (my grandma) about it. Well my grandma said I could be leaking amniotic fluid because she had a similar event happen to her when she was pregnant. Has anyone ever had this happen to them? I don’t know what it means or if I should be worried?
Replywith my last pregnancy i leaked fluid starting at around 6 months. My doctor said i had an over abundance of it and kept an eye on it but when i went in to the ER the one time it was bad the nurses told me i peed myself even tho there was no smell and it was water clear!! so i would ask your doctor about it and keep an eye on it!! Hope all goes well!
